| Pirates' Plunder Two Day Scenario Event located at PaintballToGo's field October 3,4 2009 Roodhouse, IL |
In the glorious year of 1571, Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth of England commissioned Captain Jack Splat, a
fierce privateer, to sail for America to gain glory and gold for England. He and his crew braved the ocean for 26
treacherous days before arriving at the port of Numbro de Dios, a small Spanish colony. Their orders were to
attack the colony, strip it of everything valuable, and claim it for England. The fight was short, but bloody. The
privateers were merely pirates with papers, and the unsuspecting townspeople didn't stand a chance. Captain
Jack himself ended the festivities by decapitating the governor and parading his head around town on a saber.
The privateers then fled victoriously across the ocean eager to claim their commission.
About 3 days out from the shores of England, Captain Jack spied a small vessel flying the colors of Spain.
Planning to add a feather to his cap, he arrogantly attacked the vessel, knowing he had it out-manned and
out-gunned. As his crew fired upon the ship, he realized that the vessel housed something far more despicable
than Spaniards. It housed pirates, and there is nothing that a pirate hates more than other pirates.
In fact, the ship was positively swarming with the nefarious scourge of the seas the Scurvy Dogs. They
cared not how they lined their pockets and held loyalty to no country. Many of the Queen's ships, as well as
Spanish ones had become their prey. It was rumored that they had killed their last captain by wedging gold coins
in his mouth until he choked to death. Then they slit his belly and bought rum with the gold that he had
managed to swallow. Supposedly they had found a mysterious map after ransacking his quarters, but no one
quite knew all of the details. Captain Jack was not pleased to have fallen into their trap and was determined to
give them a thrashing. A vicious battle ensued ending with the Scurvy Dogs locked in the hold of their own ship
and Captain Jack Splat holding the map to their treasure.
Eager to find the mysterious treasure, Captain Jack and the majority of his crew sailed away leaving only a
handful of Privateers to bring the Scurvy Dogs to England to dance the hempen jig. Unfortunately for Captain
Jack, the privateers may have had the Queen's papers, but they still had the hearts of pirates. Since the captain
of the Scurvy Dogs had committed the treasure map to memory, it took him less than an hour to convince the
privateers to free him and his crew with the promise of an equal share of the booty. After all, the Queen, God love
Her, had plenty of treasure already. It was every pirate for himself.
Now, good sailors, the die had been cast and the ships had begun their journeys. The Privateers were in
the lead, but the Scurvy Dogs were not far behind. Both captains desperate to find the treasure and pushing
their ships to breakneck speeds. So, you ask breathlessly, did the Scurvy Dogs catch up? Was there another
battle? Who claimed the treasure? Well, my friend, I think the better question is.......Will it be YOU?
